Living in North Riverside for the last 11 years has been great. The only concern that I have have raised as a homeowner is the excessive train traffic and intersections being blocked for long periods of time. The train snarls access for emergency vehicles, access to my place of work, snarls access to get my sons to school in the morning and creates a nightmare of cars using our residental streets as if they were main roads when the main intersections are blocked. Friends and neigbhors all worry about the traffic nightmare that long trains cause in our community. I support the CN purchase of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway. The solution to the problem is the purchase of the EJ&E Railway...... Also with a community that still has many seniors the Main Intersection to Loyola Hospital is often blocked and creates delays that may cost the life of someone that needs to get to Loyola ASAP.
