canadian national needs to sign and guarantee the money before any decision is made on if it is ok for them to purchase the ej railroad i have overheard them talking how they will not pay for any mitigation to allow normal traffic and commuter trains to run efficiently so them saying it" is meaningless and will lead to cutting off the western suburban communities from the metro area in my town alone there are 4 major roads without under/over passes as well as 3 other crossings they are within a 2 mile area (which is the length of the trains....) they also have a proposal to run for phase 2 to run 109 trains per day at 10 minutes through the town per train (running at a safe speed on over 100 year old tracks)109trainsX10minutes=1090minutes/60minutes in an hour=18.17 hours per day each and everyday in addition to the other freight trains that currently run through town and the commuter traffic which essentially will cut off all of the towns west of the tracks from going east unless they drive around to toll roads which are miles from their homes"
