I have worked my entire career to own my own office building and it is located 5 parcels from the EJ&E tracks on Hough Street in Barrington, Illinois. Allowing CN to run the number of trains that they are projecting would take away any value I have worked for over 20 years to achieve. I am even more concerned and alarmed about emergency vehicles being able to maneuver through traffic when the major access to our hospitals will be blocked by freight trains, not to mention the risks associated with the contents of the shipments. Please do what is necessary to stop any further action taking place to allow this acquisition to take place; town after town, village after village has residences and businesses that would be not only severely jeopardized, but the growth necessary to maintain a vital and vibrant community will be totally diminished. Our town already suffers from being split up by three major highways and two railroads....increasing the number of trains would be devastating not only to the residents but to the area businesses and would result in the demise of our community.... Keep the train traffic in the existing industrial areas and not in our back yards!!! Please - Protect our children, protect our neighborhoods, and protect our homes and businesses!!!
