Having the CN railroad purchase the EJ&E rail lines would be detrimental to our village and therefore I am opposed to it. However, should it go through, we need to make sure that CN is forced to sign on the dotted line when the STB spells out mitigation requirements in the Final Environmental Impact Statement. It should be up to them to pay for any improvements, not those who don't want the CN here in the first place.
