The Honorable Anne K. Quinlan, Acting Secretary Surface Transportation Board 395 E Street, SW Washington, DC 20423 RE: STB Finance Docket No. 35087 Canadian National Railway Company and Grand Trunk Corporation - Control - EJ & E West Company Dear Ms. Quinlan: I am a resident Aurora, Illinois through which the EJ & E rail line extends. I wish to state my strong objection to the proposed purchase of the EJ & E West Company by the Canadian National Railway, and to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. This purchase would effect me in a very negative way. The increased railway traffic could block my access to fire protection and emergency medical services because they are on the other side of the EJ&E tracks. Currently there is only one underpass at McCoy Avenue and that would be a significant detour from reaching my home. The most direct route, Ogden Avenue does not have an under pass. I hope you will take my family's safety concerns into your decision and Canadian National's refusal to pay for all upgrades and reject the sale. Yours truly, Kevin Schramek
