I am commenting as to the proposed CN RR acquisition of the EJ& E RR. I am a teacher in the Griffith Public Schools. I travel to more than one building, and will be affected by an increase in train traffic. My schedule requires me to begin a class at a school across the tracks 15 minutes after the end of one at my previous school. Increased train traffic will certainly affect my arriving on time. Also, I am able to see the traffic outside of my classroom, and it is now tied up sometimes for 3 blocks. This increases the amount of pollutants in the air in and around the school even as students are outside on the playground. The increased train traffic will also affect the students arrival at school on time, and safety of H.S. students that drive and want to beat the train to avoid detentions.
