I support the notion of FEWER FREIGHT TRAINS LESS TIME AT BLOCKED RAILROAD CROSSINGS in the Village of South Holland. I have been anxiously awaiting the proposed merger the Canadian National Railroad has proposed and them moving their trains off the rail lines that run through our community and to the EJ&E Railway that runs through outlying suburbs like Barrington and Frankfort. Other communities have long since benefited from little to no traffic in their areas and though they would see some increase could play a positive role in helping to alleviate rail congestion that impedes access to several schools, senior housing and health facilities in our village. Therefore it is up to governing bodies to determine what is the best solution for the overall benefit of us all.
