I am writing simply to voice my concern about the Canadian National plan to purchase EJ&E and route potentially hazardous materials through the town I live in and love. I am currently located less than 2 blocks away from the tracks and have already signed the petition to stop this plan from happening. There are many children, elderly and families in this area and a mass evacuation because of a spill or derailment could ruin this neighborhood. Please consider what the people of Lake County Indiana, and especially those of Griffith Indiana are saying when they voice their concern, we speak only out of the love for our families and our community.
