I strongly oppose the approval of the EJ&E to Canadian National sale. Canadian National has consistently demonstrated corporate irresponsibility by way of dangerous derailments, spills and collisions. These items are well documented in their own country - including warnings to the US of CN's dismal safety record. The thought of CN's trains rumbling through Northern Illinois' densely populated areas is unacceptable. No company - foreign or domestic - should be allowed to sway basic reasoning of the US federal government where US citizen's safety and quality of life are so concerned. Much more thorough study and investigation must be undertaken in this process - only then will the STB see that allowing the CN sale makes no sense to the good taxpaying citizens of the USA.
