I think the CN buying the EJ&E is a good idea because the city of Joliet will be getting more jobs. And considering how many jobs have already left the city, state, and Illinois budget problems we've been having it can only be good for everyone. Also, considering the purchase would cut down on conjestion throughout the Chicago, you now have less trains(UP, BNSF, etc) sitting for hours burning up fuel. From a straight environmental view, it would be good to burn up gas when a train is moving, not standing still.
