3 concerns regarding the proposed purchase of CN-EJ&E: First, my Barrington High School freshman's bus picks him up at 6:15 am which means he should be going to bed at 9:00 pm to get his 8 hours of necessary sleep. His bus route crosses these tracks 4 times. I'm sure the transportation company will have to pick up even earlier to get these kids to school on time. How much more sleep are these kids expected to relinguish? Also, our only fire department is 8 miles away in Barlett. It already takes over 14 minutes in good traffic to reach us. In the last 4 years, 2 homes across the street from us have burnt to the ground waiting for emergency response. Also, the steep hill on Shoe Factory Rd. just west of Route 59, blocks the view of traffic stopped for trains. The speed limit is 45 which means there are going to be many accidents, with lose of life and serious injuries here if there is increased train traffic.
