It is imperative that Congress doesn't adjourn before sending this bill-H.R. 6707-or the TRACS bill to the president's desk for signing. Between safety issues,economic downturn, and mitigation issues the CN and EJ&E railroad acquisition MUST be halted. Twenty ADDITIONAL trains a d ay through Barrington would negatively impact this town. Also, the idea of the local community absorbing the cost of grading the rails is an insult to injury. WE DO NOT WANT THIS DEAL TO BE ACCEPTED. CN makes a ton of money and the local residents lose their lifestyle--delays, intrusion, and danger. It's a lose/lose situation for the citizens of Barrington.
