We have reviewed the Environmental Assessment dated October 14, 2016, for the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad Corporation -- Abandonment Exemption -- in Scott County, Iowa (Docket No. AB 337 (Sub-No. 9X). We concur with your determination that the proposed abandonment should not result in adverse impacts to federally listed threatened or endangered species. Should new information become available indicating listed species may be impacted consultation with our office should be reinitiated.
