Please address to Elizabeth Webster The USACE has reviewed SLR’s proposal for abandonment of a rail line within Cumberland County, Maine. Based on documents provided to the USACE, the USACE concludes no permit under the Clean Water Act is necessary for such activities. Should SLR seek ballast removal, dismantling of bridges or other structures, or regrading within the ROW a USACE authorization may be required and USACE would encourage SLR to seek guidance from USACE for such activities prior to the start of any work. The USACE concurs with the current findings by OEA.
